English is very important part of not only my life, but the whole world. English connects people all over the world, because it`s easy to study. But at the same time this lagwige is full of various phraseological expressions, idioms and powerful units of speech; language of the greatest writers and poets, such as Arthur Conan Doyle, Jane Austen, Byron, Shakespeare and many others. Thanks English we know such amazing magical stories as "Alice in Wonderland", "The Lord of the Rings", Harry Potter" and "The Chronicles of Narnia"!
English is a language of modern youth culture. It has come into fashion and technology, in every day speech and literature, in science and art. Especially is obious its influence to immortal type of art such as music.
That is music popular nowadays consists of 80-90% songs and melodies of British and American singers. And it is difficult to find a young man, who doesn`t know even one Englishspeaking musical band or song on English. This popularity conces up to the fact English is clear, simple for perception language. For me English is the language of music, which I like and which, by the way, helps me to learn this language not worse even than a textboks. My favourite Englishsreaking singers are Green Day, Muse, Coldplay, Florence and The Machine, The Beatles, Lana Del Rey, IAMX, The Rolling Stones; DJs, who records music with American, English, Australian, Canadian artists - David Guetta and Armin van Buuren. My most favourite band is Muse.
Muse are an English rock band from Teignmouth, Devon, formed in 1994. The band consists of school friends Matthew Bellamy (lead vocals, lead guitar, piano, keyboards, keytar), Christopher Wolstenholme (bass, vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar, harmonica) and Dominic Howard (drums, percussion, synthesisers, sampling). Muse are an alternative rock band and are often associated with space rock and progressive rock. Their music currently mixes sounds from genres such as electronic music, hard rock, classical music and rock opera. By the way, their song "Survival" was official song of Olympic Games 2012 in GB.
